VOLUNTEER TEACHING

“Certain places have emotional attachment to us. Our personalities, who we are right now, our values, our perspectives, our friends, the community where we live in, all interplay to form our well-being. What if the places dear to us gone due to calamities or due to the effects of war? How can we recover and start a new life when all our investments, hopes and dreams where vanished due to unforeseen life events? How can we help the victims of calamites such as the victims of Typhoon Sendong and Yolanda? How are they right now? This day, I encourage all of you to reminisce certain places, either historical or personal places dear to us by posting #placesmatter #homesfortheIDPS (for the victims of calamities and wars who lost their houses and who are striving to rebuild their homes) and to participate in the activities of government or nongovernment institutions (NGO) in our humble ways. I would like to thank UST Psychotrauma Clinic for the lecture series and for the valuable life lessons we gained and imparted. As part CUFI, we are positive, we will support the advocacy of Ms. Novee (UST Psychotrauma Volunteer and Speaker, UST Graduate School).”
